Struggling!
Amazing how things can change in a day! I've had one of "those" days today where my depression has reared it's head once again. The smallest things agitate me and suddenly I come crashing back to reality and am reminded of the fact that I'm not invincible!
I really want to focus on getting my depression under control this year with the use of regular exercise! Don't get me wrong - I'm VERY proud that I have been to Curves 5 times since last Thursday, but I really want (need) to get into a routine using my treadmill and bike at home! I know it will do me so much good for more than just my weight loss.
This is where the excuses have to stop! I need to "JUST DO IT" - it's too easy to say "it's too hot, I'll do it when the weather cools down" etc but I have made a promise to myself that 2013 will be the year of NO EXCUSES!
It's probably a positive thing that this has reared it's head so early. I think an early night is in order to put an end to the day! I think part of the problem is i'm getting to that important stage of my holidays where I am starting to miss my routine! One more week and I'm back at work and have the routine back once again!
Things will get better - it's in my control and that's something I am truly grateful for!

Successful Start
It would probably be a good idea if I actually remembered that I had a blog and updated it a bit more often. You can tell I'm still not back into the regular habit of this.
Last Thursday was my official start on the Curves Complete program - and it started with a weigh, measure, testing of body fat and an outline of the food program followed by a workout.
And I'm very proud to say that I've been back for a workout every day since (except for Sunday when they're closed), so 4 workouts in 5 days is a pretty good effort given we've had very hot weather! I'm off there again tomorrow morning and then on Wednesday I have the end of my first week weigh in.
Have to say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the food program! It's so easy! I plan my meals in advance, print it out and stick it on the fridge and I know what I'm eating - and it fits in very well with my family. And I'd go as far as saying that in some ways it's very similar to bodytrim with the added benefit of calcium and fruit and of course if I want to increase my carbs I can simply by choosing different exchanges.
Can't help but feeling this is the program I've been looking for - and I have that weekly accountability as an added bonus! I'm even drinking more water which is something I've struggled with for many months!
Of course I need to ensure that all these good habits continue once I'm back at work next Wednesday but I'm confident I can achieve that!
I will be back on Wednesday to post my official week one result - I'm looking forward to it.
